13 Things Guys Should Not Give Gals as Valentine’s Gift.

1. Flowers.

Even if expensive, flowers are just ordinary for V Day. Especially roses. Roses are boring. Everyone who is anyone gets roses for V Day, especially the “bud” ones. Gals should not feel special when given flowers by guys during V Day. Before diamonds and semi-precious stones were discovered, flowers are excellent as leis to adorn ladies’ neck. Not anymore. Nowadays, flowers should be reserve for All Saints’ Day and funerals and are good for decorating churches, function halls and table settings.

2. Anything heart-shaped.

Soap, chocolates, cakes, picture frames, tea bags – you name it. They do not even resemble a heart – google the anatomy.

3. Valentine’s card.

There’s text, there’s email, there’s video. Why card?

4. A balloon.

Especially heart shape, shiny ones.

5. Something alive.

Unless it is a mammoth or a dinosaur or something like that animal that took Harry Potter for a ride during the class of Rubeus Hagrid. A frog will do, provided it turns into a Prince when kissed!

6. Anything stuffed.

Bears, dolls, pillows, his undies, etc.

7. Things marked “HIS” and “HERS”.

8. Undergarments.

Unless the brand is Victoria’s Secret. Then, it is forgiveable.

9. Chocolates.

How unimaginative!!! What are you trying to do, make her fat!?!

10. Fashion Jewellery.

Jewellery is symbolic. Give the real deal. Prendable ba!

11. Money.

Unless it is substantial, like say enough to buy a Mansion in France. Okay, just enough to buy a Ferrari will do.

12. House and lot…with frame!

Are you making fun of her?

13. Finally, don’t give poetry – particularly if you are not a poet. It will almost certainly be bad, and you will put the recipient of your gift through the ordeal of pretending to like it.

I know, I know, I know, many of us have received some of the foregoing gifts for Valentine’s, am just of the opinion that if a guy really thinks a gal is special, he will not give her any of the things found in this list.
